High-performance optical links (high dynamic range, low losses, large bandwidth) for connecting central and remote units by optical fibre, in applications such as:

• Main processing units and remote antennas in radar systems or receivers for electronic warfare.
  
• Local oscillator or high precision and high frequency clock/reference distribution.
  
• Antenna feeding with analog signals in radiofrequency or millimetric bands (up to 130 GHz).
  
• Connection between systems handling sensors, processing, and analysis.
  

These fibre optic links enable the requirements of the physical location of the radiant elements to be independent of the position of the processing and frequency conversion systems. This is achieved using direct signal transmission through optical fibre from/to antennas at radiating frequencies.
